It also depends on the team's culture.

All in all, I'd say you'd be okay. A lot of fraternities will cut you some slack because you're on an athletic team.

One fraternity at Oklahoma U... and possibly more give out "honorary" memberships to athletes (meaning that you get initiated but don't have to pledge). This is a major national fraternity for what it's worth.
