You sound like a true Philly head talkin' about..."Yo you from Philly" (only in the iladelph). Yes, I'm from Philly, born and raised in North Philly (for the most part although I've lived in other areas of Philly and outside of Philly). TXer, now that's a term I haven't heard in a long while. I did go back there in my senior year of college to observe the classrooms for a project that I was doing (things have really changed) and I found that my former Journalism teacher had become the principal (I don't know if she still is though). Also the Randolph Skills Center (a much smaller vocational high school that is around 30th & Allegheny) is now a part of Dobbins (and I think all the freshman are over there now for most subjects) so I think the name is now something like: Murrell Dobbins Area Vocational Technical High School & Randolph Skills Center (too long for me).
