In BC as in most Canadian provinces, our big day is 1-9 (some lucky people like the Quebekers are legal at 18).
I headed up to whistler with my friends - 3 of us all turned 19 within a week of one another so we headed up there and celebrated. Because we went up on a sunday, only beer and wine stores were open, so we stopped at a B&W in Squamish and none of us were ID'd - which was kind of disappointing, because we were totallly psyched to be ID'd. Because my bday is in the summer I went to night clubs all the time with my sisters and friends.
By the time I turned 21 I was sick of nightclubs and the trip to liquor store was no longer exciting.
