My PR prof just sent me an email (complete with GIF) congratulating me on my grade. I'm so entertained by this.

I don't recommend getting hit by a drunk driver during finals period. It tends to affect the grades just a bit.

Regarding CALI awards. Is this something you should bother listing on your resume?
Depends on the CALI and the job...

I'd say yes, but ask Career Services how you should list it. We don't call them CALI at my school (we use Dean's Award) and they suggested we put "Highest Honors: Crim Pro, Mass Torts" so that alumni from all the other law schools in our area would know what it meant.

Holy crap, I got an A in Civil Procedure. I was worried that my grades were going to be down because of the car accident, but so far so good.

Damn. An A in anything is a hell of an accomplishment. Congrats.

Thanks - that was my favorite class, so I figured I did well, but not that well. I also found out I got an A- in Torts, so as long as Moot Court continues to go well, my GPA this year should be pretty solid. I'm just glad that stupid drunk driver didn't mess up all my hard work this year.

More than one A? Damn. I've had A-'s and plenty of B+'s.. I understand that my school (a T4) grades low in order to discourage transfers. I'm carrying a B average and I'm in the top 25% of my class if that tells you anything..

But seriously, congrats. As for liking civil procedure, I think that makes you some sort of freak or something
