A lot of people have been dismayed. But I guess since we're all still watching it.... lol

Eh, I think Blake should have won...I'd be more adpt to keep him on the radio than Jordin. He's just more unique. Jordin sounds similar to all the other "girl" artists out there.
This season was kinda a dud.

With all the songwriting talent they can pull from, why is the "winning" song always such total, utter, dentist office elevator crap?

I'm so very happy that Jordin won. I personally think that she is an amazing singer! And she has such a great talent at a very young age. I think she will do pretty well. I'm still shocked that Blake made it to the finals. C'mon, let's face it...he just beatboxed his way to the top.

Some of us like the beatboxing.
I liked him because he wasn't your typical AI contestant and he stepped out of the whole "what AIs should sound like" stereotype. If this season was filled with a bunch of Jordins and Melindas I probably wouldn't have watched it at all.
Just pray that Jordin doesn't end up in the AI Graveyard. Um, I mean Broadway. There are so many artists out there who sound just like her and are as talented as she as and I don't really see her out there for too long. Two hit songs on the Adult Contemporary radio station, and that's it.
Blake, I hope you sell more records than all AIs combined!

If they continue with American Idol, I will stay bored until a rocker wins.
Still a Gina fan. Not a fan of her new hair tho. Still a fan of Chris Sligh too.

Yup, I agree....I am a fan of Daughtry's and I was rooting for Gina the whole season..... hopefully someday they'll get it "right!"
It was kind of a snoozer of a season, although I did like Blake, and was glad he was in the finals. I can't wait to see his album!
