Ooooook. Apparantly, your question was serious, (even though your approach didn't seem so, as it pertains in NO WAY to this thread)cso I'll give you a more serious answer.
From your above reply, you seem to know more about your inquiry than you let on. For one, you must have realized that it is something that may not quite be public knowledge if a simple Google or GC search could not have supplied the information that you seek.
Secondly, if it is something that you presume to be specific to Alpha Kappa Alpha, why post over on DST Ave. and not simply PM a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha? You can approach us with questions that pertain to our org. Go directly to the source.
Lastly, you know that you didn't create the "ivy stance," so instantly, on some level, you knew you would be "biting." If your org. wishes to do something, do it. Your concern should not be whether you are "biting" off of another org. It's nearly 100 years since Alpha Kappa Alpha was founded, as well as the founding of the other D9 sororities. After nearly a century, there is hardly anything new under the sun. It's all been done.
With that said, do what feels right for your org. and don't worry about everyone else. Make your org. independently great. Good luck!

All I wanted to know was what the ivy stance was. That's it. No disrespect meant when I say this, but I didn't ask for all the extra information and opinion you gave in your reply.
This is the last I'm going to say about this, because it truly was not my intent to corrupt a thread or a forum. So, I consider this matter to be closed. I will; however, be more mindful of where I post org-specific questions from now on.

You didn't have to ask for it. It was information that I provided for you as a treat! And since you consider the matter to be closed, I'll reserve further comments.

It usually is, but I have to admit I was tired when I was on the boards that night. I just wasn't thinking about rules and all that stuff. Trust that I have filed a "note to self", LOL.

The Ivy Stance is a remix of the Duck Stance.
