I love my contacts and the ones I have now I can hardly even tell when they're in! I wear soft, disposables and have astygmatism, so they're toric. When I first got contacts almost 12 years ago, I got hard lenses, which are not as comfortable.
I also keep glasses on hand for when I don't feel like messing with the contacts, but now that it's sunny out I wear my contacts almost everyday. My insurance provides a flat amount every year to be used for either glasses or contacts. I lucked out that this past year when I wanted to get both, the eye doctor that I went to also gave a nice discount on the glasses option when I bought my year's worth of contacts.
