WAY up north!!!!

It would depend just how far north you go!! Way up here in the great WET north(west) - Vancouver, Canada, our chapter - Delta Zeta has been perennially one of the top houses on campus for as long as I can remember. We consistently win the all-around top sorority award as well as the greekwoman award!! In terms of numbers, every year that I've been around & at least for a few years before my time, we have consistently pledged quota also. At present we are the biggest chapter on campus with about 49 sisters (total is 40), with Gamma Phi & Kappa close to that (there are 7 sororities here on campus; UBC has Canada's second largest greek system, with 9 fraternities).

More to the east, our chapter at the University of Western Ontario is also considered to be one of the top houses there too.

As for three of our other Canadian chapters - Delta Kappa (University of Alberta) is middle of the road generally (theta is consistently their top house on campus); Delta Nu (university of Calgary) has quite a strong chapter at a relatively non-greek school; at the Tau chapter (University of Toronto), our sisterhood is strong - I am not sure of their 'ranking' or 'level' though.

I am not sure about our other Canadian chapters, including Beta Gamma (University of Manitoba) & at Dalhousie.

From talking with friends down at UWashington (Iota), we are in the middle of the pack in terms of sororities. Having visited their house on many occasions, these ladies are awesome - friendly, outgoing & definitely welcoming to their Canadian neighbours!!

Phew, I'm done ... sorry about the length of this post - I'm just so proud to be an Alpha Gam, what can I say?!

LiEP,
Jen
