Fortunately I could not fall asleep this morning so I went back to work on some of my side projects. After catching up on some very old Cross and crescent articles, I stumbled upon the LCA flickr album and started browsing their coat of arm's images. The tag Mike Mahoney popped up with a picture titled Coat of Arms prototype. Quick search of google led me to this:

The minutes of the LXA Graphics committee.

This is a direct link to the amazing images these artists have done on our "new" coat of arms. I feel I should point out that these were all created in vector, which for any computer graphics literate people is a lossless format. Meaning the illustrator files can be stretched to any size without losing quality.

I should probably note that these all are still prototypes, but all are coat of arms none the less. I cant decide which one I like more. Jeff Reisdorfer's 4th gen COA looks very nice IMO. I think its the white letters. Very Sharp.

Thanks for all that helped. I need to stay up late more often to get things done.

In ZAX,
John Dever

I have no problem hosting a copy of the COA, but if someone at nationals specifically took the site down because they don't anyone to see it yet, I am hesitant. I am a youngin when dealing with these kind of matters, so please educate me. The last thing I need is to burn bridges with Nationals.

I am surprised that they decided to restrict public material that was posted on their public fraternity manuals website. It was all directly linked and appeared to be for the public, as it was on the committee's minutes for that meeting.

Let me know what you all think.

No, there is a difference in using it for public usage and among Brothers of LXA.

Using to sell to make money for an individual for profit gain is different tha aiding Brothers.

If it is for monetary gain, then it needs to be registered and fees paid to LXA.

You would still need approval from IHQ to move forward.
They do make the final call on this.
