Isn't the fraternity for openly gay and bisexual men? Being openly gay isn't part of the application process?

It's also for "progressive" straight men. Kind of a Gay-Straight alliance sort of mentality.

It's normal for straight folks to have gay friends here and there...but being in a fraternity surrounded by them? I don't think we are going to see too much of that, no matter how progressive they are.
I wish them luck, I just hope none of the chapters have the issues we have in many APhiO chapters...where both straight and gay relationships get in the way of brotherhood.

Yeah I understand, though if they truly become the "anti-fraternity" on a campus that has a lot of stereotypical fraternity guys, I can see potential. I know several guys who never rushed because they didn't like the fraternity mentality on their campus. An alternative would have been nice.
Sadly the fact that many guys see "Gay" as a communicable disease or meaning that any gay man will be staring at the straight guys asses all the time means that you're likely right.
I wish them luck too.

There's a chapter at Iowa State (still considered a colony by IFC) that has 8-9 men, I believe. They participate in the same campus events all the other fraternities participate in (Greek Week, Homecoming, VEISHEA, etc..)
