Whorebiscuit is a POW. I'll bet that she is going to cause Pullo's wife to miscarry, then pass her baby off as his. I wonder if that is Vorenus' baby.

Well I thought so. She just may have been rubbing her belly for effect at the herb store.

Wow. I love this show. Vorenus didnt stay to help Pullo keep it together. Octavian is da man. He isnt a young punk anymore. Marc Antony can say what he wants but Octavian will runs the show.

What does Cleo have?

Love this show!! Questions - Cleopatra looks real trappy to me! Anybody else feel that way? What does she possess that she gets all the men to kill/change for her? Why is she so light compared to the men of Egypt?

It's been a while since I've watched Rome, but historically speaking, Cleo is the descendant of Ptolemy, one of Alexander the Great's generals. She's not Egyptian by blood, just ruler of Egyptians by birth. I don't think there was a lot of intermarriage between the Hellenic rulers and the Egyptian locals. In fact, they follwed the Pharonic tradition of marrying siblings. Hence why there's a long string of Ptolemy's and Cleopatra's on the throne, they all married each other and named the kids the same thing.

Thanks for the clarification about Cleo. They were nasty to intermarry like that.

Yeah, the old school pharoahs did it too, although they benefitted from the new blood introduced by concubines (so your husband might only be your half brother, ew) I don't think the Ptolemies continued that practice.

I really want to own the DVDs but HBO makes them so expensive

Unfortunately, that was the last episode of the series. I don't know why they are calling it quits after just two seasons. I really liked it.

From HBO:

"Don't miss this series finale, Episode 22: De Patre Vostro (About Your Father) this Sunday at 9pm ET. Plus, tune-in this Friday starting at 8pm for an encore presentation of the last three episodes of Rome."
