Appalachian State - Possible NPC Expansion

I don't know what campus you are on but that is not a typical timeline. Many times you present in the spring, come on the the next semester (fall). Or present in the fall and come on in the spring.

I have been invovled in processes where you got on within a month of getting accepted. I have also been involved in one where it was longer than a year but a major housing inititative was involved.

Interesting. That was Saint Louis University, and for all I know there were other issues involved (no houses though) in delaying.

I wanted to let you all know that last week the Panhellenic Council at Appalachian unanimously voted in favor of expansion! Of course it is much to early to know who will be presenting, or exactly when presentations will take place. To the best of my knowledge (which being out of school now over a year is very limited), presentations will take place this semester, and colonization will begin during the fall semester. I am very proud of all the growth at my Alma Mater!! Let's go Mountaineers!!

Congrats Appalachian! I think this is a terrific time for expansion there. My best friend is an alum and he's told me that the number of applications for admission has gone up substantially this year, thanks to the recognition brought through the big win by the football team over Michigan and the three straight national championships! Appalachian is growing so it's great that Greek life can grow along with it!

I can't speak for the guys, but I wouldn't be surprised. They have already colonized two new fraternities (DTD and ASPhi) in the past three years!

Ohhhh exciting! My BIL is a recent Alumnus of App State and DH and I went down there for his graduation last spring. Boone is a BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL place, except for all that dang fog LOL! We almost drove off the side of a mountain without realizing it. I didnt want to leave when I was there. The campus is just breathtaking. YAY for App State and whatever wonderful NPC org that will have the priveledge of having a new chapter at such an awesome university!
