DHMO - A DANGER TO US ALL

The proliferation of Dihydrogen Monoxide is tragic. We should stop using this terrible chemical as it kills invisibly and is found lurking in our lakes and rivers and seas, and worse in our municipal water supplies.

It is used in animal research, in nuclear power plants, in many industries, and probably most shockingly as an additive in many junk foods.

You might think it's no big deal, but DHMO is also known as hydroxyl acid, and is the major component of acid rain, it contributes to the "greenhouse effect."

Gaseous DHMO can cause severe burns, it contributes to the erosion of our natural landscape, and it accelerates corrosion and rusting of many metals.

Death due to accidental inhalation of DHMO, even in small quantities.
Prolonged exposure to solid DHMO causes severe tissue damage and it is found in biopsies of pre-cancerous tumors and lesions.

Also known as hydrogen hydroxide, DHMO kills THOUSANDS of people every year. THOUSANDS. And not one government will look into banning it because it is used by our government in the multi-billion dollar business of national security. Who else uses DHMO? HITLER used it in death camps. It's used to make biological and chemical weapons. Terrorists use DHMO

One of the new teachers passed around the ban DHMO petetion a few years ago, to see what would happen, and some of the people who need to retire agreed and were later mocked behind their backs. We still pass it around to the kids after the chem section, to see who actually paid attention.

A couple years ago, on their Stupid News segment, Z100 told a story about two kids in some town somewhere to posted flyers around town and put them in people's mailboxes saying that the town's water supply contained dangerous levels of DHMO. The got into quite the uproar.

THIS IS SERIOUS!

It's true, some cities have tried to act on the high levels of DHMO in our environment, but they always get shut down! You can't just brush this off!

I have a BS in DHMO, and I disagree. DHMO is not a threat, and any products containing DHMO must be labeled accordingly, so those who wish to avoid it (such as my friend Elphaba) can do so.
