I am probably one of the few college students out there that can say I have never used a fake. All my friends who have used one have gotten caught. They're very strict in Orlando. All the downtown bars have scanners. They run the magnetic strip through it and all your info comes up. My friend knew everything on her fake ID by heart. The bouncer ran it through a scanner and asked what her SS# was. She just looked at the bouncer and grummbled, "Put an X on my hand, I'm under." At some clubs, they have police officers standing outside who will run the ID through their own scanner. EVERYTHING comes up...everything! All your tickets, DUI's. You'll have to know how many tickets you have gotten and approximately when the event took place.
About two months ago, my friend, Heather, borrowed her older sister's ID. The two are identical except that Heather's sis, Meghan, is two years older. Heather knew Meghan's SS#, how many tickets she got, the whole works. There was no way she was getting caught. The bouncer checked her ID and just when he was about to put a wristband on her one of Heather's friends who was walking by the bar happened to see her. "Heather! How are you?!" her friend called out. The bouncer looked at her and said, "I thought your name was Meghan." He cut the ID into a million shreds. Heather had to go out to the DMV the next day with her sis and pay for a new ID.
