I hope you know that "half breeds" need only to be referred to for animals. Being biracial, I found that very offensive. My parents did not breed to produce me. Not looking for sympathy, just wanted to let you know it was 2007.

I understand where you're coming from and I do know what year it is. But I still stand by my statement (which was in reference to her and not you, btw). Where I'm from (where the majority of the population is of mixed ethnicity/races), the use of "half breed" isn't offensive at all. It's obvious that it's not the same where you're from

Well, duh! I'm way past my Sweet Sixteen and I know you weren't referring to me. Just wanted to let you know that many biracial people do not want to be called half-breeds, mixed breeds, oreos, or mutts.

I totally understand that. I'm just saying because most people are mixed where I'm from, half breeds, mixed breeds, mutts...saying those terms are the norm. In Hawaii we have one more -- "poi dog". Kinda similar to mutt.

I know that if I were to use the term anywhere else it won't be welcomed at all. I'm aware of that. It's not a word I'd use everyday.

But in this case it was appropriate. I mean, look at Cindy. She definitely looked like an animal.

YOU ARE FREAKING KIDDING ME. Your dad was in that band? Pretty cool. Although I must admit, I've more heard of them than heard them.

The whole thing for me with Ava was:

1. The fake tears at dinner*two year olds do that
2. How her mom specifically told her NOT to go to Santa Barbara and she did it anyway
3. The manner in which she spoke to her parents.
4. Her incessant whining, ie Moooommmm....
Best part I LOVED was when her mom figured out Ava took off to S.B., she wasted no time, called and CANCELLED Ava's credit card.

This child has no respect for her parents. Period. (at least at that time)

"It was pretty decent for a white girl."

Amberly from Virginia.

First of all, I take it her mom couldn't decide between Amber and Kimberly. Secondly, gotta love the fact that she didn't know her dad until recently and her dad's now trying to make up for not being there for her by throwing her a Sweet 16 with a $300,000 price tag. Birthday girl's got a big rack, and one can't help but wonder if they're real or fake.

I just about wanted to strangle her when she fired her personal shopper. Um hi, dipshit -- one does not go to Paris to find something that's American and pink.

Kinda surprised that they didn't know who Tyler Hilton was, considering he did spend more than a season on One Tree Hill.

And I must admit -- dad was kinda hot, even though that last "WOW" he gave his daughter was kinda creepy.

"Social event of the decade?" Honey, they won't even remember your shit six months from now.

Next week -- Eazy E's daughter. Please don't go and make dad turn over in his grave, thanks. RIP EAZY.

Holy crap! One of my good friends (he was my youth group advisor) was the biggest Poi Dog Pondering fan EVER...he took me to one of their concerts when I was in high school. That's so awesome! Was he just in the group in the 80s (b/c I was definitely in high school in the mid-90s)?

The band is still around...they play local shows around Chicago. I am pretty sure they were the post-race band for a race I ran in the last year or two.

My bad. I figured OTW was talking about how she looked half-human, half-alien... as did her mother.

That's what I was trying to get at. Before it got all complicated and shit.

I'm a freaking multi-breed (is that a word?) in myself. How the fcuk would I be racist? It'd be like hating on myself!

If you were referring to her looking like an animal, that's one thing. Glad to know you weren't talking about her in a racially insensitive way.
