Hope things went the way you were hoping, Almost64.

My daughter has three friends at Vandy...two are TriDelts and one is an Alpha Chi.

Another bit regarding recs--when three girls from my daughter's HS class ended up preffing ZTA at UGA, the woman who wrote my daughter's ZTA rec called and asked me about them so she could supply recs before pref in case any of them were offered/took a bid. She was the alum "assigned" to our HS. (One of the three ended up a Zeta.)
