Is there indoor mini-golf near you? One of the nice things about bowling or mini-golf, IMO, is that you divide up into smaller groups of 4-6. This is nice for the PNM's that can be overwhelmed by trying to meet everyone at once.
- Broomball (basically hockey with a red ball, broomsticks and shoes instead of skates)
- Salsa dance lesson at a studio
- Laser tag & bowling at a nearby fun park
- Dinner at a fun, high-energy restaurant (we liked Ed Debevics)
We go to a place that has a pizza buffet and arcade games. We give everyone cards that have money on them for them to play the games. Along with that, they get to ride the carousel or do bumper cars. It is a big hit. I would say anything where people can eat (because I know that during the week of recruitment, everyone is so busy they hardly have time to eat) and just goof off (good way to blow steam), will be successful. With our chapter I wouldn't do a sleep over or anything, because by that night everyone is tired!
