Bid Day

We are located in CT and Dave and Busters would be a great idea but there are none in CT. My chapter is about 70 girls and even though bowling was fun I wanted something new and creative for bid day.

We went Mini-golfing last year. It was a lot of fun, and my chapter is about the same size as yours I suppose; maybe a little smaller.

one word: curling. i guess it depends on where you are from. curling clubs can be kind of rare. but it's so much fun and something most people have never done before. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Curling

I assume it's delayed Rush since you're posting in Dec., so maybe sledding or something? NOBODY doesn't like to sled!

You could go to an 18+ club if there any in your area, or a concert, I think that would be really fun.

Last year we went "camping" (aka stayed in little cabins at an RV park, haha). It was really fun.

This year we went to the park and had a BBQ, and the Violet sis pairs (bid day buddy) did whatever they wanted - helped the new member buy books, helped them find classes, etc. The next day we went to an amusement park. It was really fun!

One of the other sororities here hired Dan Purser ( http://danpurser.com/ )
Maybe you could find a band/singer to come and play for you guys?
Edit: Actually, Dan Purser plays at a LOT of sororities, so if he'll be in you're area i'd check him out. He's GREAT!

We had a pool party/BBQ at one sister's parents' house and we did a trip to the zoo one year. Not sure either of those will work for CT in the winter though!

We had a BBQ in the park the year I pledged, we learned songs & chants & then went to a drive-in movie later that night.
