The GA/FL game is on a saturday, so no classes need to be cancelled. The professors are even lenient on the monday after that game because we're still pretty wasted.
Agreed I'm not spelling GO any way other than G-O. I will root for the SEC though!!! SEC > Non-SEC any day!!!!
Foorball buffs: Isn't there something where when teams in my conference play in a bowl game they bring home money to the whole conference? How does that work? Do teams need to win to bring home money?

This is just too cute! (let's not discuss the ramifications of eating a buckeye though, thanks.)

I think you're missing a game from your list. ......Auburn, I think? You probably need to "narrow" some more.
Regarding the Bucks, it's easy to see what's up --> 12-0, baby! No explanations, no excuses. Troy Smith will take Heisman this Saturday, and lead the Buckeyes in a Jan. 8 destruction of UF.
Have a nice day.
Signed,
BuckeyeNation
P.S. Michigan, we own you.

Wow...I'm old. I really don't recall Fall Break way back when on the quarter system. But what do I really recall at my "old" age?

Misunderstanding. When I was at UGA from 95-99, professors were known to cancel classes on Thursday leading up to the game, and most classes were cancelled on Friday before the game. I guess we had more time to travel than you all do in FL.

Bernie Machen (el presidente):
"We have carefully analyzed the impacts of this on the academic calendar
for the semester as well as the university's operations. Classes will
begin on January 8 as scheduled and the university will be open. We do,
however, recognize that this National Championship game is a wonderfully
unique and exciting opportunity for many students and we urge our faculty
and staff to make it easy for them to make up any missed work."
what a load of bs! I want the day off from school!

Yeah I didn't read the link, but I think in the SEC it is split among the teams with the team gaining the bowl bid getting what equates to basically a double share. USAToday has good stuff about college football things though, so it may prove me wrong.

Also, Mac, have you ever seen a concert at Bass Hall in Ft Worth? It looks pretty impressive, but a lot different from the places I've seen REK before.

No....I never have to be completely honest. I really have not seen to many concerts in Fort Worth besides ones at Billy Bobs. Usually when any kind of big name Texas music/Country/Southern Rock band comes to Fort Worth they play there. Bass Hall maybe a new place.....I've never heard of it. I am sure it is really nice...as it has the name Bass attached to it.

I think REK is there simply because its a holiday type concert. Tickets are about 60 bucks (usually around 30 I think), and the setup is a lot different than a normal Keen show. It'll be interesting, place looks nice.
