I second the B&BW gift or Dollar Store.

Bath & Body Works would probably be my choice (but then again I have a very unhealthy obsession with the store as Daisy can confirm)

Something from the http://www.silverjewelryclub.com.
My endless source for gifts that look more expensive than they are. *LOL*

Bath and Bodyworks or maybe the Bodyshop. If you don't know her well you could always do a gift certificate to someplace like Bodyshop or Aveda that will mix a perfume for someone personally. Of course a nice Yankee Candle and gift set to go with it always works. As a teacher I am the queen of getting impersonal gifts from my kiddos.

Get her a gift certificate from a store you know she hates, especially if she doesn't know you know. Then you can laugh hard to yourself. For example, if one of my good friends got me a GC to Walmart, I would know they were trying to piss me off because I hate that place.
If you aren't privy to that info, though, get her a BBW set in a scent you hate or else get BBW stuff for yourself and give her the tote bag you can get for $35 with a purchase. They are butt ugly.

why do you have to get this disliked person a gift? you do not have to give a gift to someone who gives you one. just accept their present and tell them thank you-that might also get the message across that they are not one of your favorites.

If it's family or coworker or some other business situation, then yes, you really do have to.

Can't say much more other than "family"
I still say a charitable donation in someone's name is the best gift ever.

If I don't like the person I wouldn't get them anything, but if you feel you really have to, just get him/her a fruit cake. Fruit cakes are gross. That would be an awesome gift.

i was asking the o.p. what her situation was-that might help us to come up with more pertinent suggestions.

It's definitely in this field. If I slight this person, I would actually make it quite difficult for some others around me. It's not like a 2nd cousin removed or the random guy who works at the same office as me...if only it was though. ::sigh::

Reason: Because I apparently use the same word 5x in a definition and even confused myself by what I meant.

If you get this person something nasty, it will reflect worse on you than on the recipient. Be big about it and get a gift card or something else that you don't have to put time into, but won't be seen as "cheap".
ESPECIALLY if this is a work situation!
