Chizik to ISU.
Thank God. The Horns still have Davis.
Looking forward to RRS 2007.

Yeah, I wish Chizik would have focused on our defense this year a little more than figuring out where he is going to coach.............absolutely inexcusable what happened the last two games. D was in total shambles............and i'm embarassed.
I am excited about next year. OU/TX will once again have big time National Title implications as both teams are going to be powerhouses.

Why should you be? If he has any measure of success, he's off to another school. McCarney was good every once in awhile which is the best you'll ever have at ISU. At least when he did well, you didn't have to really worry about him leaving.
With Chizik, if/when y'all get good, he's off to greener pastures.

Yeah, but let him build that program up and make it more attractive to other coaches. Its a good hire for the Cyclones.

The Big 12 Conference has announced that the Cotton Bowl has invited the loser of the Championship game; and Texas A&M has accepted an invitation to the Holiday Bowl. The Gator Bowl has informed the conference it will not make its decision to take a Big 12 team until Sunday, and will likely take West Virginia if they win.
That means the bowl picture looks like this:
Fiesta: Nebraska/Oklahoma winner
Cotton: Nebraska/Oklahoma loser
Holiday: Texas A&M
Gator (if selecting a Big 12 team):
Alamo:
Sun (if Gator passes on a Big 12 team):
Insight:
Texas:
Independence:
Kansas will likely be left out of the Big 12 bowls due to their 6-6 record.

It'll be even better if the "U" loses.

Exactly. As much as a fan as I am, I know we are just a stepping stone school. If we get a coach for a few years who can bring us out of the dregs, I'm happy with that for now.

That was pretty much my thinking. This is great for now, but I know Chizek isn't going to be around forever.
