Docet, Texas is a good team. Nebraska is not a very good team. In fact, you seem to be the only one here who thinks that they are. You were blown out by Oklahoma State. That's pretty much the end of it.

OSU is a good team, and bowl-eligible. I would hold off on using that game against us until you play 'em...
Other than OSU, our only other loss was to both teams involved in last years national championship game. We've defeated two ranked teams (one on the road in a very hostile environment) and are one win away (2-9 CU) from sweeping the entire Big XII north. We took care of business (21-3) in Manhattan, Texas was down by 21 at points during their game and allowed 45 wildcat points, something McCoy's injury has nothing to do with. Nebraska also clinched a spot in Kansas City two weeks before a South team will.
While a Nebraska in KC will by no means be easy for Nebraska, it's not out of the concept of reality and if you think it's going to be a 70-3 South victory you're out of your effing minds.

Maybe you clinched it early because the North blows ass.
The North is 32 - 32 overall compared to a 41 - 22 South. Hmmmmm. I wonder.
I think losing your starting QB definitely has the ability to rattle a team, no matter what team it is. Again, especially considering Snead couldn't do anything, forcing us to run the ball all the time and giving KState plenty of times to have the ball.

Exactly. The top 4 Big XII South teams would easily be contenders if not favorites to win the North.
And I really hope he's not trying to argue that k-state is better than Texas. No way in hell. 9 out of 10 times, Texas would destroy K-state.

I read a great article today in Austin about the K-State game and how something like this was weeks in the making. The last game Jevan Snead played in was against Rice.....almost 2 months ago. I wouldn't have let him start against a JUCO with that kind of non experience. He was only 2 of 8 in the first half for like 30 yards. We had a great run game......but we couldn't put it in the endzone.....and our passing was non existent. Bad combination. Then add in 3 fumbles and a blocked punt for a TD......and you get a string of 21 points scored in 3:06 for K-State in the 3rd quarter. Not good.
What is so troubling about this year is our pass defense. It hasn't really changed at all from last year in terms of personnel.....but we're playing horrible. Michael Griffin, Terrell Brown, and Aarron Ross were all there last year...and our pass D was dominant. 384 yards given up to KState through the air. Horrible.
I'm still optimistic about the rest of the season. There is no reason why we shouldn't make the Sugar Bowl. I think to end the season 11-2 with a 3rd straight BCS game win would far exceed anyone's thoughts about Texas without Vince.

This is really minor, but due to bowl contracts, the Big XII conference winner must go to the Fiesta Bowl if not involved in the National Championship game...
