The woman who shot Carolyn was the one whose son was in her Sunday School class. Carolyn said earlier, "Don't do anything that would make my son not have a mommy" or something along those lines.
Felicity kicks ass. I love her, and she needs another Emmy. This was one of the best episodes.

Someone said that Carolyn wouldn't kill a Sunday School teacher. (or something to that effect) In a turn of events, the Sunday School teacher ended up shooting Carolyn so I think that's why they had her killing Carolyn instead of one of the main characters.

Wow, you've got sharp eyes and ears! I didn't even catch that one the first time I watched it!

I believe the convo was
Carolyn: Do I know you?
Shooter: My son Jordan is in your Sunday School class.
(I had to go back to the DVR to watch it)

I think it was Lynette's husband trying to tell Susan that, and saying carolyn won't hurt a kid because of that? I thought carolyn WAS the sunday school teacher...

I think he did, but I think Austin also said something along that line when he made an attempt to comfort Julie.
As much as Nora annoyed me, I was at how she went. I wonder if that's going to haunt Lynette the way she had dreams of Mary Alice.
I like how the writers made it "humorous" to an extent -- with Susan stealing the bullhorn, Carolyn eating the cookies, etc. -- only catch everyone off guard with all that drama in the final minutes. I don't think anyone expected a DH episode like that.

Right, and then Carolyn said, "Well, don't do anything that would make your son wake up tomorrow morning without a mommy."

You're right. Tom told Susan "Hey, I just heard the woman with the gun is Sunday School teacher. A Sunday School teacher would never shoot a kid."
As for Susan, I don't know why people are surprised about her parenting. That's been part of her character since the show started -- that Julie is the mature one who as often as not parents Susan.
And I don't care one bit as long as Terri Hatcher is on the show.

I agree. Actually, I was almost surprised that she left the grocery store to tell Ian to go on to Paris without her. To give up a trip like that... well, I just wouldn't have put it past Susan to go to Paris and then deal with Julie once she got home. Her parenting stock actually went up a notch in my book (although, when it's as low as it's been, up is about the only way it can go).
Lynette is my hero. She's been my favorite since the show started, but she just keeps getting better.
