It's made even more lame when you consider the fact that November is a sweeps month and they're leaving three weeks open to some other programing that will determine their ad revenue for this show. What else do they have?? Did they get football or basketball?? I can't think of anything else that could justify their decision.

ABC announced that the new season of "Lost" would debut Oct. 4. Good news, right? Well, sort of. After the first six episodes, fans will have to wait three months to see the remainder of the season. At ABC's portion of the summer press tour, network president Stephen McPherson blamed the show's intense production schedule for the delay. "If we could run 22 [episodes] straight in the fall we would. But we just can't get the shows done in that amount of time." In its place, to combat sagging ratings for the show's frequent reruns, the network will run a new Taye Diggs thriller called "Day Break" beginning Nov. 15. The show, a cross between "Memento" and "Groundhog Day," will run for 13 consecutive weeks before relinquishing the 9 p.m. Wednesday timeslot back to "Lost" in February."

I'm guessing Taye Diggs show will be cancelled by Christmas. His last show failed and Denzel has DejaVu coming out with a nearly identical plotline. So what will they play in the meantime? As long as it's not more Lost reruns I'll be happy. Or, even worse, all those "recap" episodes. I hate those.

Gah, I think it's lame that it's Ben's tumor. I don't know what I'd do in Jack's place -- I don't think I could trust Ben or what'sherface, at all. Really, I'd probably tell them to let me the hell out of their backass jail and release Kate and Sawyer and then I'd THINK about operating. That said, who's to say he even HAS a tumor and it isn't all some big mindf*ck?
And they killed Eko. You bastards.

ok... so i was wrong about the tumor being Ben's... that was SOOOOOOO OBVIOUS!
I am not sure i really understood the black smoke thing w/Eko... I am sad to see him go - especially since he didn't finish his church to Yemi - i hope his death was not in vain.
I'm on the fence w/ Juliet.... but we only have one more week til the 13 week hiatus so i'll have to continue to be sitting on the fence.....

The tumor thing is stupid..hello, if you need surgery, how about ASKING? Yeesh.
Furthermore, it sucks donkey @$$ that they killed off Eko. I'm bitter. The storyline about him and his brother Yemmy were the best episodes by far.

What if Jack has the tumor?
LOL I don't know, but I just don't buy what the others are trying to sell, you know? I really don't.

Didn't the last seasons final episode show some sort of ancient ruins, a giant stone foot? Could this partial foot be all that's left of a giant statute. Who created this statute? Are the others somehow involved with the people who build this statue or inhabited the island at some point? An ancient and mysterious civilization story arch could help answer many questions.

Possible spoiler about a character making a comeback?
http://www.flickr.com/photos/hawaii/279442307/
The article appeared in the Hnolulu Star-Bulletin recently and it's pretty surprising that they'd publish a picture that could potentially be a spoiler. It was removed from the newspaper's website before the day even ended.
