This is sad, but she was never private about the fact that they've done marital counseling, so I'm sure they tried hard to make it work.

Oooooo....new reports have surfaced that the reason for the split was Ryan's affair with his co-star in the movie "Stop Loss", Abbie Cornish. Supposedly Reese discovered email evidence of the affair. This is all from the gossip mags but still interesting nonetheless.

I just read about this now because I didn't know what "Witherppe" meant. I'm sad. They were so cute and I really hoped that this celebrity couple would last.

Wait i thought they ( Gellar and Prince) already did split...am i wrong?!?!?!
Hillary Swank and Chad Lowe now i think that is sad.

Gellar and Prince are still together, at least according to the most recent Marie Claire.
Spending more time with Prince is one of the reasons Gellar opted not to renew her contract with Buffy (to let it continue to a 8th season). (She stated that she was working 6 days a week, 18 hour days, and this was during her first year of marriage).
I don't know I kind of have some hope for them. They started dating in like 1999, announced thier engagement in April 01 (thanks to IMDB) and then didn't marry until Sept/Oct 02, Buffy ended in 03 (yeah Brianna is still in denial. LOL).
But with Hollywood, you never can tell

Now that I look at it, as much as I [HEART] Reese, I'm not sad about it. They were together for a long time in Hollywood standards, but still..
If I heard of, say, Tom Hanks & Rita Wilson splitting up, I think I'd be devastated and I'd stop believing in true love in Hollywood.
Before death took over I also admired Christopher & Dana Reeve, John Ritter & Amy Yasbeck...etc. etc.

As far as I know they are still together. I saw something on TV (maybe within the last year..lol) that indicated that SMG and FP, jr are still together.
