I feel like I'm really late on this, but I'm just starting to catch on to the SHMS. I love listening to Steve just being Steve, and Nephew Tommy is a fool on his own, too. It's the best thing to happen to urban radio in Atlanta in a long time.

I was listening to The Bert Show, but I gave Steve a chance and had to run with it. The Strawberry Letter is always hilarious and/or insightful; it's especially insightful when the young girls write in.

Here's an article I found on Steve Harvey's success with the morning show. It's quite impressive when you think about it.

Steve Harvey going against the grain: ‘King of Comedy’ brings civility, God, and big ratings, to morning radio

The show is even BETTER live. The entire crew cuts up worse off air than on air!! SHMS is the best thing to hit Atlanta morning airwaves in a looong time. I've been listening since the show hit the airwaves here.

I feel like I've been blind all of this time

Did anyone else hear Tommy say, "There's gonna be a Kappa in the White House y'all'? I have never heard that before, and I can't even find anything to support that claim.

If it's true, I kinda wish he never made that known. There are people out there that will not affiliate with you in any way just because you are Greek, and I would have to wonder if Barack Obama wanted to keep that part of his background under wraps just for that reason. Again, I have no proof of Tommy's claim being true, but can anyone back that up?

Hubby and I also heard it this morning, and as soon as I heard it, I had to ask him, because he's a Kappa and he usually tells me who is and who is not. He says that Obama is not a Kappa and he also said that he wishes people would stop saying that.
