ariesrising - I shouldn't have to tell you why I feel I am good enough to deserve a hair transplant. That's between me & the salon(s) that I pursue.
AXO Alum - thank you so much for your information!
I'm so excited!
I've been in contact with 3 hair salons. I know discretion is the key, so I will name them after the Muppet Babies.
* Kermit - I really loved the commercial I saw on TV from Kermit. It looked very professional. They are obviously an elite salon, so I am going to definitely sell myself to become a client here.
* Miss Piggy - There was a branch of Miss Piggy at my last place of residence. They were always nice & welcoming so hopefully they will welcome me into their salon!
* Gonzo - I don't know a lot about Gonzo yet, but I hope my (future) sponser will give me more information as I can only get the basics from their website. They look like a great group of stylists.
Wish me luck!!! OMG I'm so excited!!!

If this is the *same* salon that I am thinking it may be, you can forget it! Thanks to KLPDaisy & ZTAngel, they have been notified that we are "shopping" for a salon that will fulfill our dreams & our lifelong journey as a PNHT client. So you can thank them for being so selfish & trying to stop our dreams from coming true.

So it's been a few hours and I still haven't heard anything yet.
Should I follow-up? How much follow-up is too much?
AXO Alum- I'm sad because I think that might be why Kermit hasn't called me back

Texas-even though I don't know you personally and have expressed distaste with this thread previously, I will be happy to sponsor you for HT with my salon. I just like how pretty your name looks and my dyslexic mind thinks that you should have a beautiful mane to go with that name!

Thanks so much for all the tips my fellow hairternal sisters!!!
Here's an update!
*Kermit - still no word. I think it might be because they are elite, but I'm going to call every branch in the area to find a sponser and maybe that will help with the process.
* Miss Piggy - I got a call back, but I was away from my phone and they didn't leave a message, so I'm going to send them a thank you card for calling me and call back again
* Gonzo - one of my fantastic hairternal sisters has agreed to help me with this particular salon. I'm especially excited because I think this one might be the one!!! But I need to make sure this the the eternal home for my hair so I will still be in contact with Miss Piggy and Kermit until I know more.
I'll keep you updated! OMG!

For the love of all things that are holy- truly elite salons don't have branches. Is this really that difficult a concept to grasp? If you tell Kermit that you want to be a client because they're elite, they'll know you're just bs'ing them and are trying too hard. It's like if you apply to Hostos Community College as a safety school and tell them that they're your #1 choice due to their high level of academic excellence and strong alumni network.

They should have branches! What about a woman who didn't know anything about haircare before it was too late. Wasn't sure what shampoo was for, didn't know what conditioner did. She selected her first hair salon based on its price point, not whether or not it had an extensive haircare System. All her hair fell out and now, if you can tell me where she should have come up with the money to pay for the conditioner, shampoo, hairbrush fees, and everything else, when she wasn't permitted to work, I would love to hear it. She ruled out stealing.
She should be allowed to have a transplant now! Her parents wouldn't let her care for her hair!

I told you - spam 'em all, ....er, rather let all of them know with all certainty that you are interested and available. How in the world will they know if you don't remind them humpty-million times? Hope this helps.

It would be much classier to spell out the words "Thank You" in your own hair.

OMG - how awesome would that be! They would HAVE to know how serious you are if you use your own sparse hair to spell out a message.

I'm disturbed that you all would actually be shopping different salons. Some of you are even posting these various HT organizations' policies for intake of new patients. This cannot stand.
HT is a process which is NOT the norm. It is only something which is right for a certain few people. You shouldn't be seeking HT unless you are actually one fo these people. In fact, HT should seek you if you are one of these people.
I'm disturbed that we're even discussing this on an internet message board. People could easily browse in here and suddenly decide that HT is for them. Then, they may even start shopping for different HT organizations. This is wrong. This is not what was intended in this thread, but that is what it has become.
I'm aware that many HT organizations have actually changed their patient intake process in response to complaints about this thread. Clearly, the mods of chit chat cannot handle their jobs, thus we must lock or delete this thread.
The fact is that we know too well that these HT organizations are not capable of screening members. I've even heard of current members of HT groups offering recommendations over the internet without ever having met the PHTP. This cannot work, and this isn't the place.
I would like to start a petition to get this thread deleted. Now.. who is with me?

Trying to fulfill your dreams is all well and good. But be sure you don't add to any misinformation about HT that is already floating around on the intarweb.
