Shuh,
They could have gone and found Neneh Cherry for this role. Even Tracee Ellis Ross could have tackled it. I do understand that the PTB wanted to get a "big time" actress to play this role.

Have you all heard that Halle Berry is going to be in a movie about a white teacher? Halle has been cast to play the teacher. Teacher who ran for political office named Tierney in Arizona I believe.
Anywho, the point is now Hollywood is trying to cast the best actress regardless of color. (Not my words, but that is what I read somewhere when I learned about Halle Berry's role)

I say Thandie Newton would have been perfect for Mariane Pearl.
Neways, new NY Social Diary pictures.
Dusty Dame Dash with Dean Winters, Richard Johnson of Page Six, pastel Andrew Saffir and Christopher Meloni:
Dame's wife, ravishing Rachel Roy:
Usher Raymond IV, looking metrosexual, with Tameka Foster (his stylist?) and Alyce Alston:

Who else knew that Rachel Roy, Damon Dash's wife, is from India? Read an interview about her and was surprised.

Angelina's makeup is a little too orange for me. Tandie would have been a lot better actress for this role. Angie has had me ever since she tongued her brother at that awards show....not normal....

Well they say that the lady that she is portraying wanted Angelina to play her, apparently Jolie has been spending some time with her and she thought that Jolie would be the right actress to play the part...all of these are things that I have gathered from other websites and message boards...
My thing is if indeed the woman did want Jolie to play the part, and Hollywierd is looking past race to 'who' would be the best actress to play the part (in this instance and in Halle Berry's situation as well) then that's cool...I probably won't go to see the movie anyway (I only pay to see comedies)!
