I'm glad to see that you are going through with such a good attitude, because you are going through with an open mind, and you have several chapters where you think could be home. Good luck with the rest of recruitment! I can't wait to hear the ending!

Good luck! And I must echo other GCers that you are not listening to the tent talk or skuttlebutt around campus.
And, way to go on getting your max # of invites back! Have a great time!!

Good work, getting the max invitations - AND not getting involved with "tent talk"!! Hope you keep up your streak and end up catching the bouquet of your choice!!

You have such a great attitude! I also commend you for thinking for yourself; it's so important to base your decision on how the girls mesh with you rather than how other girls meshed (or didn't!) with a house. I'm sure any house would be lucky to have you as their sister. Good luck, have fun, stay positive, and I hope you find your home soon!

i have bad news...
i only got invited back to 3 houses and none of the 3 are my very favorite. i'm so disappointed that i am absolutely lost of words. i'm shocked. i guess my connection with the houses that i fell for did not feel the same way. the down side of rush i suppose.
i lost all hope to continue through this process but my rho chi emphasize that i should give the 3 houses that i was invited back a try. i am a optimistic at heart, but i wore my heart on my sleeve and look where it got me.
i decided to continue rush and see the 3 houses that wanted me back: CARNATION, DAISY, and IRIS.
i have no comments about any of them because i continue to have the same mind set about CARNATION AND IRIS. however, i liked DAISY the first day but i'm just not sure anymore.
my mind is all bundled up and i'm just so lost.
i told myself when i signed up for this process that i would not let it get to me. i shall be strong and not shed a tear for i know that if it was meant to be, it would've happened or it will.
i have not yet make my decisions on attending pref night. if i do, when i recieve my little paper listing what houses asked me back; if DAISY is not on there, i refuse to go on with the process.
i know the girls in CARNATION really like me, but i just can't see myself being a sister.
i would like to say thank you to all those that encouraged me and read my story.
i will keep you posted if i decide to attend pref.

I hope you'll attend all three prefs. Don't get hung up on the only place where you can see yourself. Clearly these women have seen something in the sorority to want to be members and they have seen something special in you. Can you see yourself being friends with these women and working on projects together that benefit the sorority, community, university and each other? Look for a few where you'd be happy. Only list the chapters on your bid card that you would accept a bid from. This may mean all 3, or only 1. Or it may mean you drop after prefs. Is it better to not be in a sorority at all? That is up to you. There are women who get their lower-ranked choices and who, after a few weeks or months can't imagine life any differently. Others get their top choice and are miserable. Or vice-versa. I think your sorority experience is what you make of it. Do remember that you've had extremely limited interaction with the sororities-- a few minutes of random conversation and entertainment at each house. Recruitment is a rush of activity-- give these ladies all a fair shake and see how you feel. The rejection of the chapters you liked may be lingering and affecting your feelings, which is normal. As hard as it is, don't take it personally. Cuts happen for a variety of reasons: grades, year in school, too many PNMs and not enough time. You can still be friends with the people you have met and no one can take away the experiences you have had this week. Good luck!
