Okay...number of socials per semester is something that should be in your chapter by-laws. We limit ourselves to 4 and we have to vote to go over that many. We usually go ahead and do it if our grades have been really high, but we stick to the 4 if we aren't tops in grades.
Once you go alum, you do not have to pay dues. To be part of the alum chapter, you have to pay an annual fee that is determined by your alum chapter. I think it's around 50 bucks here.
I cannot, however, share the meaning of the letters with you. I am sure you can understand why I will not disclose that info, as this is only a website and there is no way I can confirm your membership. It is part of the ritual and it is pretty clearly explained.
