Really? Wow. I wasn't forced to watch it, I cut on the TV and watched it myself when I was in middle school. I learned a lot, more than they taught in school.

In high school, which was all black, there were two black civics teachers. One taught strictly European history, the other showed Eyes on the Prize, Glory and other films. Needless to say, I didn't see Eyes on the Prize until I watched it on my own in college.

I will be watching it again. I will make sure that my kids (who are now 3 and 1) will watch it. That is when they are older.
