That's the vibe I kinda got. I also felt like she might have been light-weight afraid of Jeff because I sincerely believe that fool would push a little ol' lady into rush hour traffic. What I didn't get is how his mother made excuses for him. Here he is calling someone's
mother a b*&^ and making her cry, yet his mom sugarcoated it and called it "stress." I don't care how old I got, my mom would have snatched me up for talking to an elder that way.
