This is refreshing. It's nice to see people getting excited about having a President visit a campus.
Since I've been in commercial TV News (TV director) since college in the late 60's, I've gotten somewhat jaded. I've televised every president from Nixon through Clinton -- and after a while dealing with the Secret Service, White House Communications Agency, local cops, etc. becomes a real pain -- and you start thinking of a presidential visit that way. A Pain. One President even visited the facility I worked for which made the planning that much more intense.
I hope that the security measures (street closures, etc.) aren't a problem for you and that you maintain the excitement of having someone of this stature visit your campus.
Enjoy the event. It really is neat the first time around.
