Such as the incident @ Oklahoma State when black fraternity members (pretty sure it was "Qdawgs") weren't allowed into a sorority function and proceeded to shooting pistols through the front door and shooting up a few girls....

Sometimes different cultures just don't mix in certain situations, go ahead pull the race card and call me a racist because I'm not afraid to say it how it is...

It has nothing to do with the "mixing of cultures". Every race has some stupid people. We all agree with that. What you just explained was some stupid people doing a stupid thing. The fact they were black fraternity members has nothing to do with the incident. What if they were white fraternity members?

I don't think anyone is making blanket statements about black people or black fraternities...But the subject was brought up (of black people in college towns not being admitted into a bar or party and violence following), and its happened several times.

HELLOOOO, it's 2006! You can't say "Black people can't come into a public bar". WTF is up with that? Again, if white people shot the place up, would you feel the same way?

I've had plenty of experiences with lots of different cultures mixing where no one was shot at and everyone seemed to be getting along just fine - but you're right, if the people involved don't really want it to work, it won't.

By the way, could you perhaps post a link or something to a report on this shooting incident you keep referring to?

I don't know about the Ok St. one... I know about a fraternity in atlanta that were threatened by a couple guys with guns, and I think a kid got stabbed at Alabama a few years back...basically resulting from black people being turned away from parties. Maybe somebody on here know more they can tell you.

Regarding the public bar thing, I highly doubt it was because they were simply black. If somebody walked up looking thugged out (for example, the type of person who would SHOOT AT PEOPLE), I wouldnt want them in my bar either.

Did Timothy McVeigh look like a terrorist? You can't judge a person by what clothes they wear. You still haven't asked my question; what if it were white people that were shooting? Would you then not allow white people to your parties, or would you just dismiss it as a "drunken fraternity act"?

I was at the incident in Alabama. It was a predominantly white bar....mainly because of location, type of bar....etc. The black guy was causing problems so the bouncer kicked him out....then he tried to come back and was denied. Then he brought back a gun and shot some people.

I'm not saying it doesn't happen with white people.......I was using the story to go along with Shinerbocks post a while back.

Okay, so why did you have to point out that he was black and what the hell did that have to do with the discussion?

And YES, using words like "fag" and "homie" (in the way that you did) DOES make you a bigot. You don't have to be a member of the KKK to be racist/homophobic.

I'm not a bigot....but whatever floats your boat. (Although I am a conservative republican so according to all of you we must be.)

I am not "a person who is utterly intolerant of any differing creed, belief, or opinion."

I pointed it out because it related to Shinerbock's post.....as I have said about 10 times. I'm not afraid to point out something just because the guy was black. Sorry....I just haven't witnessed a white guy shooting up a predominantly black club/bar because he got kicked out of it. Doesn't mean it hasn't happened though.

If you think "how it is"= need for segregation, then, yes, you are a racist.
