I was told they have to sit on their bid cards for at least a half hour while center stage activities proceed. That stinks. I would be so nervous, my sweat would dissolve the envelope. Hah!

yea but they are where in the stadium - right? so with all of those other girls and a big "todo" about all of this then they RUN (and I mean RUN) to their new house and - it all turns out that the new 'pledges' (adpi calls them alpha's)are happy with whatever invitation they get.

I just spoke with BamaDaughter. She is feeling fine, heading to lunch with her new roomates at Lakeside (new Bama dorm). Did not even bring up the subject of recruitment, bids, whacked out Dads, or anything having to do with sororities. Good for her! I applaud her confidence and style.

I talked to her briefly about recruitment. She is being patient and doing her best to maintain an even keel.

It's been a pleasure to read your thread and I wish nothing but the best for your daughter. All three sororities are fabulous and I'm sure she would love any of them!

I have to wait almost 16 more years before my daughter (maybe, but hopefully!) goes through sorority rush, so it's nice to see how other parents show their support! Be proud of your daughter and of yourrself (and your wife!)...you really all seem to have the complete package as a family!

I was trying to go to the bamacam on al.com and see the video version to see if I could see anything as far as recruitment goes - but alas - an error popped up - I have realplayer10 so i don't exactly know what happened but I would think that it would be cool to see anything happen even if i have to wait for video refresh every 20 sec. (even though streaming video is so much cooler) -

yes cool sorority girl (well cool sorority advisor) and computer nerd too - but I guess if I was a good nerd I would know how to fix the problem. . .
