You know, the same thing happened to me at Pref...one of my Pref invites was to a chapter that I'd had at the bottom of my list the whole time because they just seemed lukewarm, like they didn't really like me all that much but were just sort of tolerating me because they had to. Needless to say, the Pref invite came as a shock. Knowing what I know now, though, I guess I've just come to the conclusion that some people just aren't "gushy" rushers...they might not fawn over you and act enthused to have you back at the house, but they might genuinely like you.

Something to think about:

At the houses where you felt like your rusher wasn't interested in you or asked you the same questions over and over, keep in mind that this might be her first recruitment as a sister and she is most likely very nervous!

So i'm a little sad. I didn't get invited back to Beauty and the Beast.
Pinocchio and Bambi - I still don't like them and that's about all I can say about that.
Pocahontas - These girls are sweet but I can't see myself in their house. I'm just not as comfortable there.
The Little Mermaid - I still really like this house. I desperately hope I'm invited back.

So I'm kinda bummed about how this is turning out. I tried to get some advice from my recruitment counselors but they don't actually try to help. They just answered my question really briefly and walked away. I'll try and get some advice from the other group's recruitment counselors tomorrow. Spring rush doesn't really seem like an option since it only happens if a chapter doesn't make quota and then they only take 2-3 people. If The Little Mermaid doesn't offer me a bid I'll rush next year.

I'm sorry that you're disappointed. Hang in there! Try to keep an open mind about Pocahontas too -- many girls posting here with recruitment stories have had a change of heart about a particular chapter late in the game. It can only take one party for the sisters to show you a side of their chapter that you love.

I'm crossing my fingers for you and Little Mermaid!

just my advice

I'm sorry too that things aren't going as well as you'd hoped
But I was happy to read, earlier in the thread, that you planned on sticking it out through pref. That would be my advice- keep positive until the last pref party, and if you still are not happy with your options, just don't sign your bid card, and look to COR or something.
Good luck, and hoping it won't come to that!

The Little Mermaid: I love this house! I really hope I get a bid there. Urg I'm nervous. Their preference ceremony was so cute and I felt at home.
Pocahontas: This house seems to get more unlike me every time I go back. They're nice but just not me.
Pinocchio: These girls grew on me a little but it's still not for me.

Wish me luck. I find out tomorrow at 5.
