BamaDaughter cried at all three houses. I'm not surprised....she even cried when Daddy said good-bye and sent her a thought-provoking letter afterwards. What a softy, huh?

On another subject, someone asked privately if I would continue to peek in on GreekChat. If you ladies don't mind, sure! I look upon GreekChat and sorority life as just one more activity of my daughter to follow. I've been there for nearly every field hockey or soccer game, crew regatta, award events, etc., since I started coaching her in elementary school. I've worked regattas and soccer fields alike just so I can stay involved with my daughters. Why should her sorority life be any different? It has been a genuine pleasure talking with you ladies. I have been so involved in the world of women via my daughters that I am extremely comfortable talking to members of the superior sex. You ladies rule, so I feel privileged to think that you don't mind listening to me.

I'm the lucky one. Poor kids can't chose who their parents are, can they!
I try my best. Stay tuned.....

Well, ladies. Time to watch Audrey Hepburn in "The Nun's Story" before hitting the sack. Great movie if you haven't seen it. Audrey Hepburn rocks.

Keep those posts coming, private or otherwise. I'm having great fun and will certainly be back tomorrow. I will be the eternal barnacle hanging around the GreekChat ship....

You'll just have to think about changing your screen name tomorrow to "XYZDad" once BamaDaughter becomes XYZDaughter!

Just so everyone knows, especially BamaDad, the deadline for submitting Bid Lists was 10pm CSt which has now passed. Panhellenic fines ridiculous amounts for every minute the list is late. So I feel it's a pretty safe assumption that all lists have been turned in. All our jobs are now done, both PNMs and Chapters. Everything is now in the hands of Panhellenic for Bid Matching.

For obvious reasons I haven't participated much in this thread, though I confess I've thoroughly enjoyed reading it. As well as the other "SEC Recruitment" thread. Thank you BamaDad for your wonderful insights from a Dad's perspective. I too wish your daughter the absolute best and am sure she will find a wonderful new home and loving sisters. I look forward to hearing where she ends up.

Based on what you've said BamaDad, I assume you're still back home in VA. That's a shame as Bama Bid Day is an exciting, fun filled family event. It is really too bad you will miss it.

I got the same type of letter from my dad the day they moved me into Auburn my freshman year. I still treasure it nearly 5 years later!
