I agree considering that nothing that Puffy has done as of late is doing that well.
TANGENT: Thank you I could not remember the name of the first band done on TV Eden's Crush. The lead singer from the Pussycat Dolls was in that group and try to deny it when asked about it.
BACK TO THE SUBJECT: Puffy's connections are the saving grace for this new band. I am not feeling the name "Danity Kane". I do wish them well though.

They weren't up against Jessica but DK has the #1 album in America, beating Outkast, Paris and the Cheetah Girls.

LOL. Puffy probably bought as many copies as he could to get them there. The most important thing will be how long can they stay there (@ #1)?

Also they must show and prove on the stage. Live events are what makes or breaks performers.

I don't expect them to be number one for long. Jessica came out with a new album on Tuesday and Beyonce coming out next week, it's going to be very hard. I'm shocked they beat Outkast (because I thought everyone and their mommas run and get their albums).

OutKast is NOT the same group that it used to be. It's quite obvious that there is trouble in paradise with Dre and Big Boi. They haven't even put any big singles out, at least none that I know of. Their hayday is over.

You're right. There not even promoting this one not nearly as much as Speakerboxx/The Love Below. And the movie didn't do well because it was only showing at about 1,000 theaters (compared to about 2,500-3,000 theaters for a normal wide release).
But I digress. This is DK's thread, not Outkast's.
