ACK!
Once, when my roomie & I decided to clean out our storage unit, we found two albums made in the sixties, which we put on tape. It was sooo funky! I was able to get the one on ebay, and I'm going to have it put on CD. When I do, I'll let everyone know, in case anyone wants a copy!

The girls I advise use this for closing the parties (for the first three rounds):
So long (clap clap), bye now (clap clap)
Come Again
It's a wonderful time
It's an ADPi time
And we hope to see you again (clap clap)
*This repeats until all the girls have left the room, then after a short pause, they will yell "We live for each other and for Alpha Delta Pi"
Songs my chapter used included (mostly for exiting, we didn't do many entrance songs):
Who Who Who Am I
I'm an Alpha Delta Pi
Who Who Who Am I
A-D-Pi!
Pi Pi ADPi...
adpi*nurse, can you think of others we used??

Nope- Pi Pi ADPi was our favorite I think.
There were a few song/chants, like the following also:
A with an L with a P -H -A
D with an E with an L -T-A
P with an I, that's Pi, oh my!
Alpha Delta Pi!
Sing it, sing it, sing it, sing it, sing it to the sky.
Shout it, shout it, shout it, shout it, shout it 'til I die.
*Repeats
Or something like that.
PS- I'm adpi*violet now.

Did anyone else sing the various Greek Alphabet songs, with the ADPi chorus? We had one that I could never recreate on this board, but when done right, it was downright sensual and got a LOT of attention! ADPi Conniebama, I'm fairly certain we got it from your chapter!
We also used the following for entering and leaving songs, for the first few rounds (there's more, I just can't think):
Pi, Pi, ADPi (LOTS of other GLOs use this now!)
Alpha, Alpha Delta Pi
Grandma was an ADPi
We did the one adpi*violets mentioned to the Lone Ranger:
With an A, with an A, with an A-L-P
With a P, with a P, with a P-H-A
With an A-L-P and and P-H-A
ALPHA Delta Pi!
Sing it, sing it, sing it, sing it, sing it to the skies!
Shout it, shout it, shout it, shout it, shout it til you die!
And through the years, the best we'll always be! (repeat)
ps - I've definitely heard that with Alpha Sigma Alpha!
For leaving on a more serious note:
Hmm, mmm, I want to linger

I love this song. I didn't learn it until I moved to the West Coast, and aside from Little ADPi, this is one of my favorites!

i wish that our chapter could have had the opportunity to sing half of those songs. indiana's recruitment has so many rules. like, we can't refer to the PNMs as girls, so we could never use the theme diamonds are a girl's best friend. also, using the word rush and things of that nature leads to infractions. i'd be curious to see what the guidelines are at other campuses.

We have a VERY no frilled-rush. No themes, no dressing in the same outfit, ect...
All we can do is sing when they come in, talk to them, and sing when they leave.

See, that would bring out the nastiness out in me - I LOVE a good challenge! Somewhere, there's a one-syllable word to substitute for "girl"! That, or I'd have the person or persons singing it put their hand(s) over their mouth so that they'd sing, "Cause Diamonds are a *hand over mouth* best friend!" or pantomine curves, instead of not saying anything. I would NOT sing the word, but I sure would get around that rule!
Don't get me wrong, I'm usually very rule-conscious. But silly ones really irritate me!

Yeah, I saw that after I posted
I remember when I went through recruitment, our chapter sang the Greek Alphabet song with the "Go-o-o Greek!" chorus I use it all the time to remember the order of the Greek letters
