Question:

I read that Belle keeps saying that she is so happy that she is pregnant with Shawn's child. I'm slightly confused by this. I know that the black gloved person pulled the whole switcharoo, but wasn't it done twice (as discussed earlier in the thread)? I remember the first time the lids were switched, I'm not sure what happened the second time, but either way how the heck would they "know" already? Doesn't that kind of aleviate the fun that could come from them (Mimi and Belle) carrying children they think are theirs with their hubby's and then finding out when the kids are like two, that OMG they aren't!

UGH, could Lexie just spill about what Sami actually made her do. I'm so tired of this storyline. I just want Austin and Carrie back together and Sami to be smacked in the face. LOL.

Did Sami actually make her do what she did? Not that I'm a Sami fan, but I thought Lexie came up with the line she fed Carrie on her own. Sami told her to find some way to make sure that Austin and Carrie didn't get together, but I don't remember her telling Lexie to lie to Carrie about the "genetic marker" that would prevent Austin and Carrie from having healthy children. That was Lexie's idea. Right? Or, did I miss something?

First, the black glove switched the lids of the dishes containing the eggs. Nothing was done to the sperm. This caused Belle's egg to be fertilized by Shawn's sperm, and Mimi's with Phillip's. Then, after the eggs were fertilized, the black gloves switched the lids again, so that the eggs would be implanted in the correct people. Then after the eggs were implanted, he/she switched the trays that the dishes were on so that it would be discovered that there was a mistake. The hospital staff feared that the embryos were implanted in the wrong women, so they ran tests. The tests proved that the eggs were in the right women, but the sperm residue belonged to the wrong men. It's all confusing, but yeah I wonder why they didn't choose to keep the parents in the dark until the kids were toddlers. I guess they preferred to cause all the drama between the four.

SydneyK, I think you're right about Sami and Lexie. Sami did blackmail Lexie into telling Carrie "something" that would make her choose Lucas. So no, she didn't feed her the line about the genetic marker (come on, Sami's not that smart) but she did make her tell a lie.

The thing that is total BS about the whole "genetic marker" is the fact that Lucas and Austin are HALF-BROTHERS!!!!! Hello!!!!!!! Carrie should have been frickin smarter than that, "oh I can't be with Austin because we genetically can't have a baby together, so I'll be with his HALF-BROTHER and have a baby with him, because OMG the baby will genetically be fine". WTF!

Day's has done some pretty stupid storylines, but this and the whole egg-sperm swap are down right retarded.

Forgive me if this has already been brought up but I was watching Days during my lunch today. Max & Chelsea were kissing and then Stephanie was flirting with Max. It suddenly dawned on me. Isn't Max technically both Stephanie and Chelsea's uncle since the Bradys adopted him many moons ago?

Yes he is, although they've all pointed out that "it's not by blood." But still, eew.

So I just read that Carrie and Austin slept together (thank you Soap Opera digest). So I guess I'll have to DVR days tomorrow for the week.

Me thinks Carrie is going to end up pregnant with Austin's child (and it will be determined because of the "time frame" she got pregnant) and Lexie will have to finally spill that Sami blackmailed her into saying that she and Austin couldn't genetically have kids. He he.
