Yesterday I got to hang out with my sponsor, and she told me that my initiation date has been set. I will be initiated at District Days, which is sort of like a regional convention. It will in late October, and I will be surrounded by ASA sisters from several states!!!!! It is definitely time to start dress shopping

I don't know if there's an Esprit store near where you live, but they have a nice sleeveless white dress in there that's pretty conservative looking that you could probably just wear with a nice white cardigan.

Things have been kind *heavy* around this forum lately, so I'm going to lighten things up....
WHAT SHOES WILL I WEAR FOR INITIATION???
I've been dress shopping, but I haven't found exactly what I want yet. So clearly, I can't commit to shoes before I have the dress. Generally speaking though...how can I wear all white in late fall in Pennsylvania??? The only white shoes I have are open toed kitten heals...cute as anything but definitely NOT something that I can wear in the cold weather of a PA autumn. Help!

Go to Payless. Get white pumps or flats (they have a whole dyeables section). This isn't a "season" issue as many sororities have white ceremonies year round.
Open toed shoes aren't appropriate for rituals.

Check and make sure you even have to wear shoes during initiation. Some sororities have you wear white peds/socks during the ceremony, so the shoes wouldn't matter.

That's great news! Definately don't put off the dress shopping if you need to buy a white dress. There are some great sales right now, but watch out, because the fall clothes are already appearing, and you don't want to have to panic when all the summer clothes are gone.
