You threw me off for a minute there- I had to re-read my post to see what you were referring to. I see your point though and I'm still protesting
Sorors doing tribute steps!

I don't dislike tribute steps as a whole I just think they are corny. I don't like to see Sorors throw up the hooks period and just as a bruh said earlier they shouldn't be doing it more than the bruhs themselves!

We love you Sista, but let the Sigmas and Iotas do that. It aint about not loving y'all, it against Omega tradition to do effeminate things, love or no love. Doing female steps (tribute or not, IS G-Y to real Bruhs that know better) Doing another orgs handsign (sister or not) is G=Y. Signing off however lovingly) "Roo-Oop" is G-Y. Neos that do that stuff are quickly told to cease and desist.

Got much love/respect for DST and the bond, but no co-joined handsigns etc.

P.S. I don't mind anything done out of love or affection. If a Delta is throwin up hooks, I would assume that she had a close chapter relationship with the Bruhs. No fan of tribute steps. Don't mind them in a stroll
I felt the love all up and through your post . I agree, I think bruhs have shown me love since day one and I see no need for them to do any sort of tribute step to Delta Sigma Theta. I've never had a bruh "roo-oop" me nor have I ever joined signs with a bruh (not sure how that would be done anyway). I look at it like this- I can't count the number of times bruhs have called me Red, I definitely don't mind but I know quite a few Sorors that do.

Bruhs calling Deltas 'Reds' is done in 'Bruh only' environments amongst one Bruh to another Bruh when talking about the Deltas. It was never meant to 'GET OUT' or be said in public and especially not when addressing a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

I actually like the hops and hooks in stepping. In any other context, NAAHHH!

Unfortunately, some Bruhs seem to think our name IS 'Reds'. I don't like that at all

Folks are picking that stuff up, too. I was having a conversation with my cousin who is a Zeta and she said something about Reds, even Dirty Reds. You know she got the *gas face* from me. She tried to clean it up by saying that her best friend is a Red. Whatever

Soror I've even had a que pearl refer to one of our Sorors as a Red when she was talking to me! . I actually don't mind it when the Bruhs call me Red, I guess because it rarely happens and when it does it's usually a Bruh that I have a close relationship with.
