She said she did not tell him "no" or call out to her roommate, who was sleeping nearby. She said she tried pushing herself away from Owens, but that the assault continued. When she resisted again, he stopped and left, according to her testimony."
"No" certainly means no -- but what constitutes "saying" it?
This is a real tough situation to sort out.
I don't think it's sexist or prejudiced one way or the other to say that I'm having a hard time figuring out how to feel about this case. I sure don't envy the officers who have to pass judgement on this one.
