My badge is very important to me. When I die it will be buried with me or given to someone who can use it. I'm not sending it back to EO unless they give me, or since I'll be dead, my family, $$$ back. That being said, I don't really understand for organized groups that buy back badges. I have no need for 26 different ADPi badges. They'd sit in the jewelry box just like my other one does. I also don't understand spending my hard earned money just to donate the pin back to EO. I'd rather just donate $127.53 that I would spend on a badge, to EO for programs. If I were to come across a badge I couldn't live without I'd buy it, but I'm not going to make a habit out of badge rescue. In regards to buying badges for other GLOs... I saw a Phi Mu badge on ebay a/b a year ago. It was gorgeous, and had I had the money I would have bought it. No, I would not have given it to a Phi Mu or sent it to their HQ I would have kept it, and been within my right. I just see no cause for alarm when someone, not of your respective GLO obtains a badge. They don't know the meaning, having it doesn't threaten the greek infastucture, and when it boils down to it, it's just a pretty piece of jewelry that might just make them some money.
