3rd diabetic checking in...

It does sound like a hypo episode... but could it have been dehydration instead? I only ask because I was at a club with some friends and one of my friends just passed out cold. Everything was peachy until she just hit the floor. And she was stone cold sober. She likened it to being dehydrated (the club was HOT) and just being tired. She was fine later that evening after we all went home.

Well, whatever it is... get all the endocrine stuff checked out of course. Just get better okay?

I have no idea what you have, but call your doctor ASAP. Tell your doctor about the seizures which will probably get you an appointment immediately. I have fainted/passed out due to low blood sugar, but your seizures concern me. Get well soon.

Alright, so I just got home from the Dr. Still not a clue... They did an EKG, which came back okay, and drew some blood for labs. I have to go to the hospital Friday for an EEG and a cranial CT. And evidently at some point, I am going to do some 24 hour heart monitering thing. So, that's all I know as of right now.

And the best part?? He doesn't want me to drive. That should be interesting, as I work two jobs throughout the week. Cool.

Is the heart monitor a little box that has electrode type things attached to your chest? I had to wear something similar 10 years ago when my doctor was running tests to figure out that I had epilepsy. I've had a bunch of EEGs done, though not for a few years, and you might spend awhile washing your hair afterward because of the gel used to stick the electrodes to your head seems to stay stuck on your scalp.

The not driving thing sucks. I've been there and it's not much fun to suddenly not be able to drive, it's a bit frustrating trying to figure out how to get around.

I hope that everything turns out okay for you!

Sounds like it - it's called a holter monitor, and monitors your EKG over a 24 hour period. It's a great way to show any daily variances in heartbeat that can cause other physical problems.

Good luck with everything, and I hope they find out exactly the cause of your problems. I know from personal experience, it's awful having symptoms and not knowing where they're coming from, or what's causing them.

Yes, holter monitor... I was drawing a blank before, but that's exactly it. I've heard people mention them before, but have never had to have one myself. Guess there's a first time for everything.

Sorry to hear what happened to you! But please don't diagnose yourself on a bulletin board. This is something that needs to be brought to the attention of a doctor. You may need an MRI, blood work, etc.

I'm not the one who went off on her for "diagnosing on a message board". I'm completely chill. In fact, it's freezing in my office.

Once again, DA, I'm blaming the lame joke on your influence.
