Actually, here in NC, Corporal Punishment is still allowed at the State Level. However, at the county level it's been outlawed in many places (like the county I teach in - Wake)...but there ARE still schools in NC that do practice slaps on the hands, etc. Most of these schools (suprise, suprise) are in very rural areas.

Here We Go!

New teachers started in my district this past Friday (July 28). All teachers begin tomorrow, August 2. Kids start back on Aug. 9th.

Because I teach ESL, my students are in my classes for 2 periods. So far I have 12 students in 1st/2nd periods, 6 students in 4th/5th periods, and 2 students in 6th/7th periods.

Good luck to all teachers on GC. I hope everybody has a great year.
