and i miss Waffle House when I'm here in Pittsburgh...once you get over the WV line, the golden glow of Waffle House fades.

This also applies to 33girl:
There's a Waffle House off of I-79 at the Meadowlands exit. My parents tried it and were not too thrilled, but we're not big Waffle House people.
Sadly no iHops on this side of PA.
Love the Eat 'n Park smiley cookies, but their breakfast really isn't all that great... not bad, just nothing special.

oh is that where it is? I thought it was in Little Washington.
I like Perkins better than E & P, just because I'm sick of E & P, but Pamela's is better than both of them.

There might be one there, too. I've never been to a Perkins.
You are so right on Pamela's. I love Pamela's. Hmmmm... I think I might have to head there for breakfast this weekend.

To answer seriously in this thread, I'm not sure if this is a fast food chain or not but whenever I"m in Texas I like to go to Snuffers. Or Pluckers

I missed my Jack in the Box when I was on the east coast for the summer... but never got to try any places that we don't have here in Cali.

Jack In the Box
We had an Eat N' Park in State College, but it didn't look very sanitary, so we always went to Denny's.

I used to like going to the Northeastern United States because I could eat at Roy Rogers. I'm a vegetarian now- but I'm pretty sure I will still be able to find something in the menu that I can eat.
In general, one of the things I enjoy most about road trips is seeing the different restaurant, supermarket, and retail chains that are available only in certain parts of the country.

If I'm ever in Western PA, Perkins and Primanti's is a must! But I dont plan trips around my dining, I consider them an added perk!

Why would you go on vacation and eat fast food?

If you spend all of your money on travel, lodging, and souvies...you might be too po' for "slow" food.
The last time I went out of town, I ate McDonald's three times in 24 hours.

Until this very moment, I never knew that Waffle House was the name of the restaurant....when people said waffle house, I thought it was a generic name for a place that sold waffles and other breakfast food all day.
We don't have those in DC that I know of.
