Interesting..with the exception of Sigma Pi, all the GLOs at Clayton are members of the NPHC. Were they looking to add one NPC or more?

I'm not sure which thread I saw it in, but last night I was reading a thread about which campuses were open for expansion this past academic year. Clayton State was listed as open "ground up." I was just interested in their progress because I live/work so close to the campus and know several alumnae of Clayton State. I also checked the Greek Life section of the school website and couldn't find any updates (but sometimes the Greek Life websites are updated, so I wasn't sure!)

Sigma Pi is returning to Ohio State; see:
http://ohiounion.osu.edu/greek_life/Articles.asp?id=277
Excerpt from article: Fall 2006 will mark the return of Sigma Pi Fraternity to the Ohio State University, as the Executive Office will be seeking to re-establish Gamma Chapter (the third chapter to be installed in the Fraternity’s history) after being dormant for an 11-year absence.
After enjoying nearly 90 years of existence, both the Executive Office Headquarters and Gamma Chapter alumni are very enthusiastic about re-establishing Sigma Pi at OSU. This spring, Assistant Executive Director Jonathan Frost presented to the Inter-fraternity Council, which later approved Sigma Pi for expansion for the fall 0f 2006. In November Sigma Pi’s Expansion Staff will be on campus recruiting . . .

Here is Zeta Psi's plan for expansion and reactivation. This is an Aug 2006 update. Quite a bit going on.
Zeta Psi already has 2 very strong colonies at the The University of Georgia and Binghamton University (NY) , and the re-activation of our Bloomsburg University Chapter, the Pi Kappa.
We’re also looking at a number of possible expansion opportunities. As we continue to evaluate each opportunity and decide how to proceed, YOUR HELP can make a big difference – by referring potential members! Here are the schools we’re looking at right now:
* Arizona State University - 12 man Interest Group in place
* Florida State University - continuing it's recruitment
* George Mason University - several interested men already
* Stanford University - Mu - a targeted restart this Fall
* University of Miami - a core group is coming together right now
* University of Minnesota - Alpha Beta - several Pledges already for this restart
* University of Texas - Iota Alpha - looking to restart this Fall
* Vanderbilt University (TN) - 2 transfers from Tulane are looking to start a new group here

Phi Kappa Psi Currently has Colonies at the following Schools
UNLV
Northern Illinois
Houston Baptist
Ohio University
Indiana university - Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI)
University of CA - riverside
University of Maryland
Oregon (recolonization)
Bowling Green State university (recolonization)
We hope to have all of these Colonies turned into the Chapters within the next 2 years.
It's a great time to be a Phi Psi!

Is Clayton a normally HBC/U?
I am not familiar with the School. But from what You said it seems to be.

Then why did it only have BGLO's?
Just asked a simple question and did not actually get an answer.

A large % of the student body is minority. However, Clayton State has a recently established chapter of Sigma Pi.

Yup, when I saw Clayton State, I figured it was Morrow.
I took a couple of evening classes there.
I used to go to Southlake Mall more than I do now..I don't really go to many malls now since I'm not that close to one. Wait until I move to Gwinnett County!
When I did go to SM, I'd have to go to Truett's...named after the Chik Fil A founder..like a 50's diner with the BEST milkshakes!!

In the recent issue of The Magazine of Sigma Chi, two more colonies are listed: New Mexico State University and University of Tampa. I believe NMSU is a reactivation of an old chapter and UT is a new charter.
