From the official Harry Potter movie site...
Joining the stellar cast are Imelda Staunton (Nanny McPhee, Vera Drake) as Dolores Umbridge, the new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher; George Harris (The Interpreter, Black Hawk Down) as Kingsley Shacklebolt; Helen McCrory (Casanova, Enduring Love) as Bellatrix Lestrange; Natalia Tena (Mrs. Henderson Presents, About a Boy) as Nymphadora Tonks; Kathryn Hunter (All or Nothing, Orlando) as Mrs. Figg; and 14 year-old newcomer Evanna Lynch, who beat over 15,000 hopefuls at an open casting call to win the role of Luna Lovegood, a Ravenclaw student who becomes an important ally of Harry, Ron and Hermione's.

Wasn't there a change in the actress playing Bella? Awhile back I read that Helena Bonham Carter was replacing Helen McCrory because Ms. McCrory pregnancy prevented her from contiuning filming.

I was talkign to a freind about this list,a nd his thoughts are that Harry's aunt is theo ne that comes into magic late in life., and she stops fearing/hating it.
Anyone have any idea or thoughts on who it might be? I am still thinking that it's someone that was thought to be a Squib.

I don't think it will be Petunia. JK might have already said that.
My mind like to run toward Filch. The reasoning behind this would be that we already know he's a squib via his Qwik-Spell course work and we've never seen him do anything truly magical. I think that if the future existence of Hogwarts is threatened then he's going to react and he might just react with some pretty fun magic. It's an idea.

That was my thought, for the same reason you thought of it...we already know that he is a Squib....
I guess we will have to wait and see....

I kind of like that idea. I've always felt that Petunia was envious of Lily's powers, I wouldn't be surprised if she had some as well.
Plus, I remember in either book 5 or 6 (sorry I'm on a cruise so I can't pull the book out), Petunia knew something about like dementors or aurors or something. She knew stuff that an "ordinary" muggle wouldn't know. Which kind of leads me to believe that she has gifts but she has supressed them, so therefore she wasn't "identified" as a possible witch that needed training.
Question- is Petunia supposed to be older than Lily or is it the other way around?

Petunia knew about that stuff because Dumbledore told her about it in the letter when he asked her to take care of Harry.

I didnt care for it nearly as much as the previous 4, it seemed to jump around way to much and leave out things entirely. The wrong people were doing things as the book depicted and it just seemed like David Yates didnt really know what was going on. There were no smooth transitions and though the dialog did have times where it was word for word from the book it just seemed to lack the luster the other films had. I did enjoy the very end of the movie with the big fight scene inside the Ministry of Magic, but other than that I found myself wondering whether or not I had wasted my time to even go and see this movie.
It just seemed like Yates didnt know what to do with Order of the Phoenix, he took an 800+ page book and turned it into the shortest movie yet, I mean it is acceptable for a 'good' movie to last close to 3 hours, so what was wrong with this movie lasting a little longer than 138 minutes? It just seems like with the extra time more effort could have at least gone into smoother transitions from scenes and actual ideas from the book. I sincerely hope that they search for a new Director for Half Blood Prince, there was too much vital information in Order of the Phoenix that just shouldnt have been left out, and if Yates is left in charge of the next movie, then it is likely it wont be as captivating as it should be either.
Another thing that slightly bothered me was no Quidditch, I mean we are talking about one of Harry's comforts, and that wasnt even offered in this movie. It just seems like a shame to me that this movie didnt turn out better.
Oh and Helena Bonham Carter was magnificent in her role as Bellatrix LaStrange

That is my biggest peeve with it: there was no Quidditch, hence no subplot with Ron. What happened to the Percy thing?! I was looking forward to that angle. I felt like a lot of the little things were left out.
But ITA that the fight scene at the end made up for it.

yeah the fight scene at the end was the only thing in my opinion that saved that movie, because as much as I was furious at the rest of the movie as soon as Harry reached the Ministry I immediatley started to like the movie alot more.

Just got back, and I liked it a lot. I need to re-read the book, because I had forgotten a lot of the subplots that had to be cut for time (I presume.)
