That Harry S. Truman myth was popular at my chapter as well. I remember there also being a myth that Brett Favre is a Lambda Chi... nevermind that his college has never had a Lambda Chi chapter in its entire history!
Someone tried to feed me some story that Rushton Moreve wrote the song for his brother, who was supposedly a Lambda Chi. I really doubt Moreve was even coherent when he wrote the song. I think it's really about an acid trip. Not to mention I doubt Morever ever HAD a brother and if he did he probably never saw him.
Oh, I've researched Truman's name and found out that the S was simply his middle initial. It didn't stand for any name.
